Kelly
began her performing career in the living room of her grandparent’s
house in her hometown Detroit, Michigan at the tender age of two.
With her dad on organ and Kelly leading vocals, the Wright family
knew that a fabulous vocalist was definitely in the making.
As a member of various school choirs and her parent’s infinite
patience with piano and flute lessons, Kelly continued on a musical path
throughout most of her young adult life.
Always
one to be as close to the music as possible, Kelly originally chose a
path in radio as a jingle singer, disc jockey, news reporter, script
writer and janitor. After a brief
stint on an overnight position on a Detroit station, Kelly moved to
Seattle to continue in radio and pursue other entertainment options.
Since
then, Kelly has performed in several shows in Seattle with The
Washingtonians!, the choir with a
sense of humor, shared the stage with Seattle Comedian Peggy Platt
and has worked with Seattle singer/ songwriter Lisa Koch. (Lisa
and Peggy make up the outrageous sketch comedy duo Dos Fallopia).
She recently teamed up with Lisa Koch to produce her debut CD, a
collection of jazz standards entitled No Secret Anymore.
Kelly
is not just a singer; she also adds her talent to the commercial market
as a voice over artist, providing voices for commercials, video games
and children’s toys.
